JK: 16 wounded in Doda grenade attack
Jammu, June 25: Five women were among 16 people wounded in a militant attack today at Doda general bus stand here in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.
''Five women and 11 men were wounded, four of them seriously, when some unidentified militants lobed a grenade in Doda bus stand,'' sources told sources.
The grenade was apparently targeted on the security patrol but missed its actual target and only civilians were injured, sources said.
The seriously wounded, identified as Nisar Ahmed, Riaz Ahmed, Trabhi Devi and Zulfa, were referred to the GMC and Hospital Jammu while the others were hospitalised or given first aid in district hospital Doda.
Security forces have launched an intensive search to track down the grenade thrower, who slipped taking advantage of the chaos after the blast.
