'Zabardast' makes Rs 1 cr collection at box office

Kolhapur, June 24 (UNI) Marathi film 'Zabardast' has grossed nearly Rs one crore as revenue at box office in Maharashtra after its release two weeks ago.

Talking to reporters here today, film producer Suhas Jog claimed the film has made a collection of around Rs 45 lakh at box office in the second week after its release. In the first week too, the film had collected around Rs 45 lakh. With this, the film has done the business of nearly Rs one crore.

After a long time, Marathi film has done such a big collection, he said. added that the film now running in 35 cinema houses continously in third week,where tgth are getting good crowd in all places box office.

'Zabardast', directed by noted film personality Mahesh Kothare, was released earlier this month at 65 cinema houses in the state.

The film revolves around a youth, college life and all the exuberance that goes along with it. For the first time, they have tried to present a super hero in Marathi film using modern technology, Mr Jog said.

This is his second film and they plan to screen it abroad during the Ganpati festival, he informed.

The film's star cast include Pushkar Jog, his son as main protagonist, new comer actress Manasi Naik, Sanjay Narvekar, Makrand Anaspure, Siddharth Jadhav, Rasika Joshi, Yohana Vacchani, Mr Jog added.

UNI
