WB police arrests three more HUJI terrorists on STF into

Lucknow, June 24 (UNI) After yesterday's arrest of Harkat-ul- Jihad-al-Islam's (HUJI) India chief here, West Bengal police today arrested three more terrorists of the outfit from different parts of the state today, on the information of the Special Task Force (STF).

''The West Bengal police has informed us that three terrorists - Mukhtar, Akbar and Ajijul- have been arrested by them, STF SSP Amitabh Yash said here, adding that a UP police team will soon go to West Bengal to bring the terrorists on transit remand.

Yesterday, Jalaluddin alias Babu, allegedly the mastermind in several blasts in the country in the recent past and an area commander of HUJI along with Naushad, were arrested after an encounter in Wazirganj police station area here.

Altogether nine kilograms (kgs) of RDX, an AK-47 assault rifle along with several firearms were recovered from the possession of the terrorists.

Earlier this week on Thursday, STF had arrested two other terrorists of the same gang, Mohammad Yakub and Nasir, along with seven kgs of RDX and different equipements for blasts.

STF sources here said that Babu, a resident of 24 Pargana district in West Bengal, was the commander of the module of HUJI and they have ferried about 100 kgs of RDX in different parts of the country including to Mumbai, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Varanasi and Hyderabad.
