Rs 5.24 crore sanctioned for Ambedkar villages schools

Siddharthnagar, June 24 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned Rs 5.24 crore for the renovation and construction of incomplete primary school buildings of Ambedkar villages in seven districts of Gorakhpur and Basti divisions.

Official sources told UNI today that Rs 77.50 lakh had been sanctioned for 560 schools of Gorakhpur district, Rs 45.75 lakh for 183 schools in Maharajganj, Rs 1.70 crore for 175 schools in Deori.

Rs 25.80 lakh had been granted for 163 schools of Kushinagar, Rs 83.56 lakh for 301 schools of Basti district, Rs 92 lakh for 139 schools of Kabirnagar and Rs 29 lakh for 245 schools of Siddharthnagar.

Besides, Rs 5,000 had been released for sanitary work in each school, sources added.

The government has ordered the concerned authorities to complete the maintainance work by June 30.
