Mayawati directs to speed up e-Governance Plan
Lucknow, June 24 (UNI) Reviewing the e-Governance Plan, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today directed the concerned officers to speed up the plan and finalise at the earliest the review sharing model to ensure correct implementation of the scheme.
Giving information about the review meeting, Cabinet Secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh said, Comman Service Centres (CSC) would be established in 17,909 villages of UP in the next three years, which would make available electronic delivery services to the masses.
Action for selection of service centre agency has been initiated at the division level for setting up one CSC for six villages.
Educated unemployed 25,000 to 80,000 would get job opportunities under the scheme, which would be conducted with cooperation of the Union government, Mr Singh added.
The Cabinet Secretary said the Government of India had identified about 80 economic and social sectors of 15 departments for establishing the CSCs.
Under the panchayat sector, information relating to birth-death certificates and development works, under the agricultural sector, information about crops, marketing, micro-credit and calamity, under the citizen service sector, facts about various projects, employment and tenders could be provided, he said.
Under the education sector, information relating to schools/colleges/universities and exam results, while under health sector, facts about life saving drugs, family welfare services and e-diagnostic could be given to the masses, he added.
Apart from these services, information relating to animal husbandry, social welfare, trade, consumer welfare, environment, transsport, tourism and enteratinment sectors would also be available, Mr Singh said.
