Gujarat Electricity Board office ransacked over power cut
Jamnagar, Gujarat, Jun 24 (UNI) A mob of about 40 to 50 irate villagers ransacked the Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB) office today over power cut to their village named Dared, 12 km from here.
The villagers had gone to the GEB office to express their protest against the power cut to their village. But the situation turned from bad to worse and the villagers ransacked the office, police sources said here.
They also damaged two-wheelers, belonging to GEB staffers, which was parked in the office premises.
Police have registered a case of rioting against Jayantibhai Lalji, Bhikhabhai and 40 others. However, no arrests has been made so far, sources added.
