Five students allegedly tortured by school teacher
Agartala, Jun 24 (UNI) Student Federation of India (SFI), Tripura unit, today demanded judicial action against the teachers accused of man-handling five students, including two minors, who sustained serious injuries.
Three primary school students of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Vidyamandir in Agartala was admitted to the hospital allegedly following physical torture by a teacher Prasanta Debbarmma yesterday.
Meanwhile, two class ten standards students of Harachandra XII School in Kamalpur town, Dhali district fell ill, after they were allegedly beaten up by teacher Shambhu Lodh in the class room.
In both cases, the students were penalised for non-compliance with the teachers order, SFI officials said and demanded judicial action against the accused teachers.
