Haseena Parkar's fate to be decided on Jun 27
Mumbai, June 24: The City Civil and Session Court Principal Judge Ashok Bhangale will hear on Wednesday, the Anti-Terrorist Squad's (ATS) application, seeking cancellation of bail of Haseena Parkar in an alleged extortion and cheating case.
Haseena, sister of fugitive mafia don Dawood Ibrahim, was released on bail of Rs 25,000 on May 24 this year by the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate V K Sharma.
Earlier, Judge Bhangale had directed the prosecution to produce all documents pertaining to the bail, including the lower court's order and other papers which were submitted in the Metropolitan Court when her bail application was heard there.
However, these documents are believed to be in the custody of the Bombay High Court.
The prosecution case is that Haseena Parkar had threatened an estate agent Vinod Avalani and refused to return his Rs 30 lakh which was paid to two builders for a slum redevelopment project deal in Wadala in southcentral Mumbai. The deal had however, failed to materalise.
