Chennai, Jun 24 (UNI) Yuva Rashtriya Janata Dal national President Ashok Singh today alleged that crimes and kidnapping incidents were increasing in Bihar.

This clearly showed the inefficiency of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who had criticised the previous RJD government headed by then Chief Minister Rabri Devi, Mr Singh said.

In an informal chat with UNI here, Mr Singh pointed out that the police department in Bihar had gone out of Nitish Kumar's control and goondas and mafias were ruling that state.

In the industrialisation front also, Mr Nitish Kumar's performance was dismal as not even a single new industrial unit had come up so far after he assumed the office, the RJD leader added.

He said Railway Minister and RJD national President Lalu Prasad was generous enough to sanction several new railway projects to Bihar inorder to bring the state out of backwardness.

answering a specific question, Mr Singh said though Nitish Kumar was willing to cooperate with Mr Lalu to get things done for the upliftment of Bihar, a 'coterie' surrounding Mr Kumar was not allowing him to utilise Mr Lalu's efforts for further development of hil state for one reason or the other.

He said a nationwide youth rally would be organised at Ahmedabad on July 5 to celeberate the RJD's founding day and to protest against the misdeeds of Narendra Modi led-BJP government in Gujarat.

The two-day national executive meet of the Yuva Rashtriya Janata Dal would be held at Guwahati from July 14 to discuss, among other things, ways and means to eradicate the unemployment problem in the North Eastern states.

Stating that the youths of North Eastern states were joining the extremist groups due to unemployment, Mr Singh said it was high time for political leaders of the country to address this pathetic issue.

He said soon after the proposed executive, they would meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and others and submit the deliberations and decisions of the executive for suitable action to restore peace in the North East.

Further Plans were also to hold a state-wide seminar-cum discussion of the Yuva Rashtriya Janta Dal in Chennai some time next month to find out ways to strengthen the party base in Tamil Nadu, he added.
