Another incursion bid foiled in JK; 3 militants killed

Baramulla, June 24: Alert troops foiled yet another infiltration bid when they gunned down three militants near the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector last night, official sources said today.

They said a group of heavily armed militants sneaked into this side from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) last evening.

Soon after the intruders crossed the LoC to enter the Indian side at Gwalta in this border district's Uri area, the troops challenged them resulting in a fierce gun-battle, the sources said.

They said three infiltrators were killed in the gunfight.
