One killed, six injured; many structures gutted in Kashmir
Srinagar, June 23 (UNI) One person was killed and six were wounded in different road accidents while some houses and structures were gutted in a devastating fire in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.
They said a speedy vehicle hit a motorcyclist Bashir Ahmad Wani at Dalwach on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway this morning. He was rushed to a hospital where he died.
Six persons were injured in three road accidents at Kreeri, Yaripora and Harnag today. The injured had been hospitalised, they added.
Six houses and four shops were gutted in a devastating fire at Pursyar in the old city Habba Kadal early this morning while three shops and a cowshed were reduced to ashes at Uri and Zainpora last night. The cause of the fire was not immediately known, the sources said, adding no one was injured.
