Four people arrested for selling fake tickets

Kolkata, Jun 23 (UNI) At least four people were arrested today for selling 1700 fake tickets and failing to submit relevant documents to confirm presence of Salman Khan and Diya Mirza in a programme here. Police sources said the people were organising a programme, 'Hope 2007', in the city and had mentioned in various advertisements that Salman Khan and Diya Mirza would be participating in the programme.

However, they were arrested after they were unable to submit any documents confirming the arrival of these stars and failed to cancel the additional tickets which were being sold.

Meanwhile, police had received a fax letter from Salman Khan and Diya Mirza stating that he was not attending the programme.

''Only Daler Mehendi has arrived here for the programme,'' police said.

Ticket money would be refunded to the people from various retail counters and Netaji Indore Stadium, where the programme, "Hope 2007" was scheduled, police added.
