Eight killed as vehicle falls down a gorge in Kullu

Kullu, June 23 (UNI) At least eight people were killed and five injured, two of them seriously, after their vehicle fell into a gorge at Achharu Nullah in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh today, police sources said.

Banjar SDM P R Verma said two seriously injured in the accident have been admitted to Zonal Hospital at Kullu, while others were undergoing treatment at a hospital at Banjar.

The cause of the accident was, however, not immediately known, he said, adding that details were awaited.

In another accident in the state, one person was killed and another injured in a road accident in Chamba district of the state today, police said.
