Displaced will fix their land rate: Deputy CM

Koderma, Jun 23 (UNI) Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Sudhir Mahto today said state government would soon come out with the state's new rehabilitation policy according to which land owners themselves would fix rate of their land.

Addressing a gathering after inaugurating first aircondition khadi showroom of the state, Mr Mahto said earlier land were registered at low rate to save the registery expenses adding the state government would now ensure that this trend was checked.

Mr Mahto said state government had distributed about Rs 2.5 crores with the subsidy of about Rs 58 lakh to the 57 businessmen.

Speaking about the scope of Tasar silk in future Mr Mahto said at present the state produced 60 per cent of the total production which would be increased to 80 per cent.

Mr Mahto also laid foundation stone of Khadi training centre at the Gandhi maidan here.
