BEML to enter lubrication oil segment soon

Kolkata, Jun 23: Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), a mini Ratna company under Defence ministry, is entering in lubrication oil segment for supply of branded oil for Engines, Hydraulics and Transmission systems.

Speaking at a press comference here today, BEML CMD V R S Natarajan said, ''We want to target Rs 100 crore business in next one to two years.'' The total oil market in India is around Rs 15000 crore, of which Rs 9000 crore is the auto and rest Rs 6000 crore is the industry segment.

BEML would supply its own brand, 'BEML Oil', as per the required specification and standards to the end users of the BEML equipment through their network of regional and district depots.

Under the brand, BEML would have Engine, Transmission and Hydraulic oil.

Besides, to ensure supply of quality oil, the company had set up a testing facility centre at Kolar Gold Fields in Karnataka.
