250 kids ''jhoom'' with Bollywood star Lara Dutta
Mumbai, June 23 (UNI) About 250 cancer-afflicted children were today treated to a special screening of the bollywood film ''Jhoom Barabar Jhoom'' in the company of its actress Lara Dutta at the Cinemax multiplex here.
The actress distributed cookies, chocolates, drawing books and crayons to the delighted children.
Lara said, 'I am honoured to be here and am happy that the children have forgotten their pain for some time by enjoying themselves.'' Ms Anita Peter, Director, Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) said, ''these kids are absolutely special to CPAA. We ensure that they are regularly taken for outings to add a dash of sparkle to their lives.'' ''Meeting a star like Lara Dutta is a dream-come-true for them'', she added.
