Vigilance submits chargesheet in IGIMS scam
Patna, Jun 22 (UNI) The Vigilance Bureau today submitted chargesheet against four officials including the then director of the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical sciencs (IGIMS) in connection with the scam in purchase of eximer laser machine.
The chargesheet was submitted in the special court of Sunil Kumar Panwar under various section of IPC and prevention of corruption act.Apart from the then director of the IGIMS Dr Dilip Kumar Yadav, the names of the then head of the department of Optahlmology Dr Mahesh Chandra, the then financial advisor of IGIMS S.R.Gayeem and the agent of the supplier Neelmohan figured in the chargesheet.
As per the charges the officials involved had embezzled the fund released for purchase of the machine during 1996-97 and had purchased damaged machine flouting the rules and regulations.
