Two poisoned to death by a criminal

Moga, June 22 (UNI) A notorious criminal, who was released from jail after undergoing life imprisonment a few years back, poisoned two people to death in Moga and Muktsar districts today, police said.

Police said Ajit Singh, resident of Mohali, alongwith his accomplice, arrived in a car at Singhanwala village, five km from here, this morning and poisoned Inderjit Singh (21) with "parashad".

Inderjit Singh who was irrigating fields with his father, died on way to the civil hospital here.

Both the accused then immediately left for Muktsar where they poisoned one Baljinder Singh at village Sohnewala (Attari).

Baljinder singh died within no time. Later both the accused escaped in the car.

Moga police registered a case in this connection. Both Moga and Muktsar police have launched a vigorous search of the accused.

Police believed that land dispute was the cause of double murder.
