Silver declines further by Rs 30 per kg
Mumbai, June 22 (UNI) Both the precious metals declined further on lack of fresh demand with Silver down by Rs 30 per kg and Gold by Rs five per ten gm on the Bombay Bullion Association today.
Silver fineness .999 opened low at Rs 18,160 on lack of fresh demand. Later, it improved and closed at Rs 18,250 with a loss of Rs 30 from yesterday's close of Rs 18,280.
In London, Silver fell at USD 13.12/13.15 per troy ounce against USD 13.14/13.17 per troy ounce in New York.
Similarly, standard gold (99.5) and pure gold (99.9) also opened weak at Rs 8,625 and Rs 8,680 per ten gm respectively on thin buying support.
Later, standard gold edged up and closed at its yesterday's level of Rs 8,660. Pure gold on the other hand also inched up and closed at Rs 8,705 with a loss of just Rs five from its previous close of Rs 8,710.
In London, gold went slightly up at USD 652.00/655.00 as compared to USD 651.50/654.00 per troy ounce in New York Thursday.
