'National level solution to issues like Nandigram'
Saharsa, June 22: JD(U) National President Sharad Yadav today expressed concern over the vexed Singur and Nandigram issue and said he would strive for a broadly acceptable solution to the problem at the national level.
Talking to sources here, Mr Yadav said he would take the initiative for a uniform and broadly acceptable solution to this burning issue, after the Presidential election next month. " If a solution to this vexed issue was not found soon, interests of thousands of farmers would be at stake," he added.
He, however, parried a question over the stand of the party on support to the incumbent President A P J Abdul Kalam. A final decision on this issue would be taken at a meeting of National Democratic Alliance(NDA) in New Delhi, he stated.
