Sena protests 'Miss Anara' release
Jammu, June 22 (UNI) Shiv Sena (Bal Thackeray) activists today protested against the release of Bollywood movie 'Miss Anara', ''a real life film''on former Miss Jammu Anara Gupta, who was involved in the infamous porn CD case.
A number of Sena activists took out a rally in the old city of Jammu to ban the movie, which was scheduled to be released at Hari cinema in Ragunath bazaar.
Sena activists also burnt the effigy of the former Jammu beauty queen.
According to reports, the Sena activists forced closure of the show at Raj theatre in Udhampur town.
Talking to UNI, Sena's state president Aanan Sharma said they do not want the film to be released in Jammu because the investigation was still pending and the film having ''objectionable script'' could hurt the sentiments of the public.
Exhibition of the film would frustrate the Investigation Officers as there were chances of widespread demonstrations against the film, he added.
The police, however, said the Sena activisits had dispersed peacefully.
