Rural Bank staff to go on strike
Bhopal, June 22 (UNI) Nearly 69,000 employees and officers of 96 Regional Rural Banks across the country will observe two-day strike from June 29 to press for various demands including implementing 1993 banking pension scheme in RRBs and pay at par with sponsor banks.
Joint Forum of Rural Bank Unions has given the strike call, according to Madhya Pradesh Rural Bank Officers Federation General Secretary K K Gaur.
In a statement here today, Mr Gaur said the employees and officers would consider going on indefinite strike if their demands were not conceded even after the two-day strike.
