Retired teacher lynched by criminals

Bhopal, June 22 (UNI) A retired teacher was lynched to death and three other members of his family were injured when criminals attacked them and looted valuables from their house in Vrindavan colony on the bypass road in Piplani area here last night.

Police said Virendra Singh Rastogi was attacked with stone and bricks resulting in his death.

His wife Vijaylaxmi suffered serious injuries, while his son Atul and daughter-in-law Pushpa were also injured when the criminals attacked them.

His another son Prashant, who was sleeping in the first floor, came to know about the incident only after the criminals left the spot, police said, adding details of the property looted were yet to be ascertained.
