Rainfall brings relief to Kolkatans

Kolkata, Jun 22 (UNI) A brief spell of moderate rainfall brought much-needed relief to Kolkatans today, bringing down temperature and humidity as well.

Met officials said maximum temperature was recorded at 32.9 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal while the minimum was normal 27.4 degrees Celsius.

Maximum humidity was pegged at 92 per cent and the minimum relative humidity was 73 per cent, according to local weathermen.

Met department recorded 7.3 mm rainfall in last 24 hours.

The sky would remain partly overcast with possibility of light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers, said Met office.
