Railways making efforts to trace Moti Lal Vora's sister
New Delhi, Jun 22 (UNI) The Railway Ministry today said it was making all possible efforts to trace Mrs Gaura Byas, sister of Congress leader Moti Lal Vora, who got down from a train at a station during her journey and apparently missed it.
The 67-year old Mrs Byas was travelling in a First AC coach of Jaipur-Chennai Express (Train No. 2968) along with her daughter and three grand-children on June 19.
''The family members had dinner at Sawai Madhopur station at about 2130 hrs. Mrs Byas is learnt to have got down at Kota station and missed the train,'' ministry sources said.
However, her daughter and the grandchildren could manage to get down only in the afternoon of the next day (June 20) after the train stopped at Nagpur. They discontinued their journey to trace the old lady.
''Mrs Byas has a frail and medium build physique. We have sent her photographs to Ratlam, Kota, Jaiour and other stations on the route,'' the sources said.
''The Railways has taken all possible measures in coordination with the GRP, civil police and other authorities to trace the missing lady,'' the sources added.
