Police raid Mughal Gardens in Kashmir, arrest 9 people

Srinagar, Jun 22 (UNI) Police today said they raided several gardens in the city and arrested nine people, including women, allegedly indulging in immoral activities at these recreational places.

They said five first information reports (FIRs) were registered in this connection.

Police said they received several complaints of objectionable and immoral activities prevailing in Botanical and Nishat Gardens.

To verify these complaints, police kept these gardens and areas under their surveillance for almost three weeks.

They later arrested nine people, including some women, and registered five FIRs in this regard.
