Hyderabad, June 22 (UNI) The National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NIMSME) will conduct a study soon to bring in a scheme for the promotion of Minor, Small and Medium Entrepreneuship (MSME) among SC, ST, BC and minority communities, its Principal Director Kondaiah said today.

Addressing a conference here, he said NIMSME had already submitted a proposal to the Centre to conduct a study on the promotion of entrepreneurship in the backward communities at national level.

The study would chalk out the modalities to encourage backward communities in setting up the MSMEs, he said, adding that the Centre and state governments would provide funds for them.

Stressing on the need to focus on setting up of 'induced clusters' to promote enterpreneurships, Mr Kondaiah said the state governments have to adopt cluster development policies as part of the promotion of industrial development which contributes more employment and economic development.

He said NIMSME had earned an all-time high revenue of Rs 10.29 crore during 2006-07.
