NFR Mazdoor Union lessons in International meet

Guwahati, Jun 22 (UNI) A functionary of the North East Frontier Railway Mazdoor Union has been invited by the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) to attend the South Asian Port and Dock Strategic Planning Seminar in Sri Lanka.

Mr Pijush Chakraborty, Assistant General Secretary of NF Railway Mazdoor Union, will be a resource person in the seminar to be held at Colombo from June 27.

Mr Chakraborty was an alumni member of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), apart from being an educator of ITF.

He was earlier invited by ILO to attend various programmes in the International Training Centre of ILO at Turin, Italy.

International Labour Organisation also sponsored him as the only person from India for advance training at the Korea University of Technology (KUT) in South Korea.

Mr Chakraborty also attended a course on HIV/AIDS organised by the ITF in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was also invited to attend various seminars and programmes in Japan&Austria.
