Bhopal, June 22 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh's five medical colleges will be equipped with the facility to analyse samples for chikungunya and dengue, state Commissioner (Health) Rajesh Rajora said here today.

''Equipment has been supplied to colleges here, at Indore and Gwalior. The equipment is reaching two other colleges. Earlier, samples had to be sent to the Delhi-based National Institute of Communicable Diseases or Pune's National Institute of Virology,'' he added.

In view of chikungunya fever being recorded in seven states, Madhya Pradesh's district collectors, chief medical and health officers and district malaria officers were directed to take measures. Anti-mosquito medicines were being sprayed.
