Monsoon still awaited in MP
Bhopal, June 22 (UNI) Monsoon showers are likely to grace Madhya Pradesh's southern part within a couple of days courtesy an extreme low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal.
''The area is moving towards Maharashtra,'' Regional Meteorological Centre Director D P Dubey said here today.
It might intensify in a couple of days and then head to this state bringing rain to Balaghat, Chhindwara, Betul, Hoshangabad etc.
Pre-monsoon precipitation is taking place in several parts. Power supply was affected for a while at a locality here late last evening due to a squall that uprooted many trees and felled hoardings.
