Kolkata, Jun 22 (UNI) Rejecting the Tata Model, the West Bengal Congress today said the Jindal Model was ideal for industrialisation in the state.

Addressing a press conference here, CLP leader Manas Bhuniya said, " Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee should ask the Tata group to follow the Jindal model. " The Jindals had already announced to provide job to one person of each of the displaced family, equity shares of the steel project and purchase land directly from the owners at the present valuation.

The Jindal group was setting up Rs 35,000 crore steel project at Salbani of West Midnapore, while Tata group was setting up a small car factory at Singur.

Mr Bhuniya said the Tatas were not following the Jindal model.

He said it was necessary to make a survey what development had taken place in the thirty-year rule of the Left Front.

He appealed to all the political parties to be united and form a secular and democratic front for ousting the ruling government in the state.
