KMC launches drive against businesses run on illegal licenses

Kolhapur, Jun 22 (UNI) The Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) has launched a drive against those running business on illegal KMC licenses.

KMC Deputy Municipal Commissioner Ganesh Deshmukh today said there are 8000 to 10,000 cases of such illegal businesses, as per information available with the corporation.

If these people do not have a proper KMC license or have not renewed their old license, the civic body would issue a notice to such people and direct them to take a proper license, said Mr Deshmukh.

Two big shops were shut down in the city for flouting the rules, he added and sought assistance from the business community in this regard.
