Four killed, 6 injured in accident in HP

Shimla, Jun 22 (UNI) At least four pilgrims were killed and six injured, three of them seriously, after their vehicle overturned in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh today, police sources said.

The accident occurred at Namelha, about 20 km from Bilaspur town, on the Anandpur-Naina Devi road late this evening.

The sources said while three people were killed on the spot, another succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.

The injured were admitted to a hospital at Anandpur from where three seriously injured in the accident were referred to PGI at Chandigarh, the sources said.

The sources said the cause of the accident was, however, not immediately known, adding that a case has been registered and investigations were on.

The district administration has announced an immediate relief to the next of the kin of the dead and the injured, the sources said.
