BMC to instal CCTVs at octroi nakas

Mumbai, June 22 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) today announced that it had decided to instal closed circuit cameras at all octroi nakas in the city, in order to detect tax-evading traders.

Newly-appointed joint municipal commissioner Radha Rao said with the installation of CCTVs, there will be reduction in corruption and traders, who have not been paying taxes will be brought to book, thereby increasing the revenue to the BMC.
