Mumbai, June 22 (UNI) Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Additional Municipal Commissioner Kishore Gajbeye today said the Corporation will allow school students, who have not yet got free uniforms, to attend regular classes.

The BMC this year decided to provide school uniforms and other requirements free-of-cost to students studying in the civic-run schools. However, due to some problems in the department, the students were not provided with the uniforms and there were reports that the students would not be allowed to attend school.

With today's announcement, Mr Gajbeye had clarified the Corporation's position, saying that the administration was not able to provide free uniforms to students before the start of schools.

He also stated that the students would be given free flavoured milk from June 27, as there was delay in clearance of tender.
