Best among contesting candidates will be elected: Murthy

Bangalore, June 22 (UNI) Infosys Non-Executive Chairman and Chief Mentor N Narayana Murthy today appreciated the process being followed for electing the new President.

Speaking to mediapersons after in the 26th Annual General Meeting of the Infosys here, Mr Murthy expressed confidence that the best among the contesting candidates would get elected to the coveted post.

As per the democratic principles, the political parties had chosen their candidates, he said.

However, Mr Murthy did not react to some political parties refusing to back President A P J Abdul Kalam for a second term.
