Moga, June 22 (UNI) The authorities today appealed to various Sikh organisations to avoid Dera Sacha Sauda Punjab Centre at Salabatpura during the proposed Khalsa march on June 24, district, in view of recent clashes between Sikh activists and Dera Sacha Sauda followers.

The khalsa march is to start from Gurudwara Zafar Nama, Dina Sahib here to Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo in Bhatinda district.

At the instance of District Administration, the district-level peace committee today decided to approach the organisers of the June 24 march to persuade them to adopt the new route through Raunta and Pakharvadh Kaur Singh Wala, skipping Salabatpura.

In the peace committee meeting held here today, both Deputy Commissioner Dr Arvinder Singh and SSP Devinder Singh Garcha made an appeal to the activists of Sant Samaj, SAD (Amritsar) and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, organising the Khalsa March, to maintain peace and harmony in the state.

However, SAD Amritsar's Moga district President Harbans Singh today ruled out any change and stressed that the activists would follow the direct route from Dina Sahib, Kangar and Salabatpura.
