Two more nominations submitted for Presidential elections

New Delhi, June 21 (UNI) The office of the Returnng Officer (RO)/ Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) for the Presidential Elections today received two more nominations out of which one was rejected immediately.

According to information received here today, Dr K Padmarajan of Tamil Nadu filed his nomination papers for the Presidential elections.

His nomination paper was supported by an attested copy of the electoral rolls displaying his name. He, however did not deposit the required money nor did his nomination papers have any proposers or seconders.

The other nominee was Patel Suresh Chandra Lalji Bhai of Ahmedabad. His nomination was rejected immediately as it did not contain the basic attested copy of the electoral roll displaying his name. Mr Patel also did not deposit the requisite money as required under law nor was his nomination paper supported by any proposers or seconders, sources added.
