TRS urges non-local employees to move out

Hyderabad, June 21 (UNI) Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLAs today urged the Andhra region employees working in various departments to return to their native places as part of the implementation of GO 610 to provide employment to the people of the Telangana region.

The TRS MLAs, led by its Legislature party leader K Vijaya Ramarao, visited the Chief Engineer's office (Irrigation department) and urged the Andhra region employees to go to their native places as per the GO.

The MLAs assured them that the Government would provide jobs to them in their region and they would not be harmed.

Later, they met Chief Engineer P Rama Raju and urged him to sincerely implement the GO. The Chief Engineer assured them that the Department would implement the Government Orders with commitment.

Later, they told newspersons that they received good response from the employees for their counselling. They would conduct similar counselling in all the departments in future, they added.

They said nearly 90 per cent of the employees working in the Irrigation Department belonged to the Andhra region and were not showing interest in irrigation projects in the Telangana region.
