Rupee opens weaker at 40.78 per dollar
Mumbai, Jun 21: Rupee opened weaker today at 40.78 down by three paise from the previous close of 40.75 per dollar.
The market opened dull and dealers said the rupee is likely to hover around 40.75-40.85 throughout the session and may settle at low margins unless strong capital flows occur in coming hours.
At 1205 hrs, Rupee was trading at 40.75/76 per dollar. However, investors are still cautious about Interventions from central bank which is likely to come to stabilise the currency value.
