Rabri puts her signature on Pratibhas papers

Patna, June 21 (UNI) Former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi today put her signature on the nomination papers of UPA candidate for the presidential election Pratibha Patil.

After putting her signature, Ms Rabri Devi in a fax message said it was a great pleasure for her that Ms Patil would be the first woman president of the country.

She hoped Ms Patil's election would empower womenfolk of the country and the issues related to the fair sex would get further boost.

Rabri Devi expressed gratitude towards the leaders of UPA, specially Congress president Sonia Gandhi, for fielding Pratibha Patil in the presidential election.
