Order on Mandira Bedi reserved
Indore, June 21 (UNI) A local court has reserved its orders till June 25 for exemption from personal appearance of actress Mandira Bedi in a case relating to dishonouring the national flag.
The actress was scheduled to appear in the court yesterday, but her lawyer presented an application before First Class Judicial Magistrate Shubhra Singh seeking her permanent exemption from appearance.
Local resident Indrajeet Singh Bhatia had filed a petition seeking action against the actress under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act for wearing a tricolour sari in a television programme relating to cricket world cup.
Dress designer Puneet Nanda and the TV channel were also made respondents.
