Opium worth Rs 30 lakh seized

Hazaribagh, Jun 21 (UNI) Police arrested three smugglers and recovered opium weighing three kg from their possession at Barkagaon police station in this district of Jharkhand today.

Acting on a tip-off police nabbed the three, official sources said adding two of them belonged to Murshidabad in West Bengal while the another was a local accomplice.

The opium was estimated to cost Rs 30 lakh, police said and added that the three smugglers were sent to jail.
