Notorious robber held
New Delhi, June 21 (UNI) The police today claimed to have solved nine cases of attempt to murder, robbery, theft by arresting one Aftab Ahmed.
Acting on a tip-off about Aftab's movements in Mayur Vihar phase II on yesterday, the police swung into action. Teams were formed and a trap laid to nab Aftab.
He was apprehended at 2045 hours, police said.
A cursory search yielded a country made pistol from his possesion.
An auto-rickshaw driver by profession, Aftab graduated to crime early. He always adopted unique modus operandi to commit a crime.
Most of his victims were those carrying passports with VISA.
He would then sell the passports to those involved in business of outsourcing manpower.
