Mobile testing van to test road quality in Bihar
Patna, Jun 21 (UNI) In keeping with its promise to provide qualitative roads in the state, the Bihar government today announced to test the quality of roads being constructed across the state through Mobile Testing Van (MTV).
After flagging off the first unit of the Mobile Testing Van (MTV), Bihar Road construction Minister Nand Kishore Yadav told newspersos here that the MTV had been introduced to maintain the quality of the construction work as the government was committed to providing roads of national standard to the people of the state.
He said it is for the first time that the government had introduced a system for testing the quality of the construction work.
The MTV had been provided by a USA based company- MSV International to the road construction department, Mr Yadav said adding that it will prove to be a milestone in the road construction work as it would check the quality of Roads and Bridges. The lab of the MTV is fully equipped with modern and standard equipment for testing of materials used for construction.
He said the MVT would visit the construction site and after testing the quality of the work it would submit the report to the concerned excutive engineer and chief engineer.
Mr Yadav said the van would visit the sites every day to verify the degree of quality of work.
