MindTree, Borland enter strategic alliance

Mumbai, June 21: MindTree Consulting, an international IT and R&D services company, today announced its strategic alliance with Borland Software India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Borland Software Corporation, the global leader in Open Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), to launch state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence (CoE) in India.

As part of this alliance, MindTree and Borland will jointly set up the next generation software testing CoE lab at the MindTree development center in Bangalore .

The CoE will serve as a technology incubation hub and provide training, evaluation software, online learning, technical seminars and solution demonstration to testing professionals at MindTree Consulting. It will be fully operational by June 30, 2007.

MindTree Consulting President and Chief Executive Officer, R&D Services, Janakiraman S said, ''As many technology products now require test automation and performance testing using third party tools, the CoE will enable us to offer faster time to market testing solutions to our R&D services customers.'' Commenting on the partnership, Borland Software Vice President of Strategic Accounts Dave Martin said, ''The CoE lab at MindTree would feature award-winning solutions from Borland that enable global organizations to deliver high-quality software in a predictable manner. The facility will also represent an active proof of concept for Borland's Open ALM approach, supporting quality testing practices across multiple platforms, tools and processes.''
