Hutchison to contribute to Bengal's cultural panorama

Kolkata, Jun 21 (UNI) From group theatre to folk, Odeon 2007 will celebrate the cultural panorama of West Bengal in a festival spanning 10 days and featuring nine plays.

Commencing on June 30, the Hutch festival would showcase premier English and Hindi plays such as "Still Single" and "Cotton 56 Ployester 84". To cater to the discerning Bengali theatre, the festival would present four bengali plays--"Mhahkabyer Pare", "Bisesh Bishesh Khabor" etc.

They would screen "Theatre in Bengal after Independence" on June 29.

Hutchison Telecom East Limited Vice-President(Sales&Marketing) Asit Shekhar today said, ''We have been organising this festival for the last seven years.'' Various groups like Theatre Arpana, Banyan Tree Communications, Ebong Aamra, Unity Malancha would be performing in this festival.
