Huji militant arrested in Guwahati

Guwahati, Jun 21 (UNI) A Harkat-ul-jehadi-islami (Huji) militant was arrested in Guwahati by the Special Operation Unit (SOU) of the Special Branch.

A security source said the rebel, Ataur Rehman, was arrested from the Natbama area of Hatigaon in the city on the night of June 19.

The militant, who earlier worked in a madrassa at the Kahilipara area, was now an employee in a hotel. The militant is suspected to have been tasked to recruit people into the radical outfits, intelligence sources said.
