Haryana: 49 officials caught taking bribe

Chandigarh, June 21 (UNI) The Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught 49 officials of various departments red handed while taking bribe ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 45,000 during the first quarter of the current financial year.

A Bureau spokesman said that as a result of investigations conducted by the Bureau, it was decided to register cases against four gazetted officers, 29 non-gazetted officials and 11 others.

He said the departmental action had also been recommended against nine gazetted officers and seven officials of various departments.
