Ford India rolls out new Endeavour

Chennai, June 21 (UNI) Ford India today rolled out its premium action Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), the new Endeavour.

''The new Endeavour is a supreme combination of the latest in vehicle engineering and legendary 'Built Ford Tough' ruggedness, the hallmark of Ford SUVs across the globe,'' Ford India Managing Director and President Arvind Mathew told newspersons at the launch here.

The new Ford Endeavour with powerful 2.5 litre Buratorq engine had Ford's proprietory BDCi technology, authentic evolutionary SUV exterior and plush new interiors, combining style, safety and comfort, he said.

The SUV featuring turbo-diesel common rail injection (TDCi) engine delivers 143 PS peak power and an astounding torque of 330 Nm for faster acceleration and better drive.

''The new endeavour with its commanding road presence, comfort, flexibility, safety and robustness is the ideal action SUV for the modern family,'' Mr Mathew added.

The new Endeavour, priced at Rs 14,72,00 (ex-showroom, Chennai) for the 4X2 wheel drive variant and Rs 15,62,000 (ex-showroom, Chennai) for the true blue 4X4 wheel drive, were available in attractive palate of colours-Panther Black and Diamond White besides three brand new colours -- Jeans Blue, Brush Steel and Mystic Wine.
